ALLANTON GREYHOUND STADIUM

The Scottish town of Allanton in North Lanarkshire, just 7 km from Wishaw, had a greyhound track situated at 3° 50' W 55° 47' N which first opened its gates on 25th June 1949. The town had a colliery and the track entertained the hard working miners.

It operated as an independent track but had closed just 2 years after opening, closing on 15th September 1951.
